Gillian Scott is a very experienced botanical artist with works in important international collections. Having degrees in Botany and Zoology, she is well able to understand and feature important structural faspects of the plants she paints. A watercolorist by training, she is now creating works using other media and unusual backgrounds taken from the internal anatomy of the plants.
Gillian is currently collaborating with another artist, Ben Beeton, who will create digital backgrounds and incorporate her paintings. Their first project is about the gelogical and botanical history of a rainforest remnant in Toowoomba, Qld., atop the Great Dividing Range. Exciting work so Watch this Space!
